Best of 2014 mixxx

When I was compiling a best of 2013 mix last year, I was overwhelmed with possibilities and squeezing all those great tracks into an hour-long mix was a bigger challenge than shopping in London on boxing day in one piece. Unfortunately, I had a relatively uninspiring year musically with a very low number of artists affecting me the way so many did a year ago. I had previously put together some tracks I enjoyed playing in my sets last year for Lipstick Disco but I was struggling to find more than a dozen tracks that stole my heart as I played them on my record player. The end product is this mix that is comprised of some of the artists that were frequently featured on this blog, summarizing the aesthetic of Indie UK. Hope you enjoy these gems (mostly) from 2014 and have an amazing new year!
