As the year is slowly wrapping up, my feed is filling with end of year lists. I make it a mission to go through as many of them as possible and try to make sure I am not leaving a gem behind. While some lists are compiled of pretty generic releases, on some occasions I come across a piece of music that makes me feel grateful for sparing the time to go through it.
I got to know Kelpe in 2013 during my time in Brighton but missed this LP that he dropped in August on Drut Recordings. It is outstanding experimental electronics, dabbling in post-classical sounds one minute and playing at a melodic Holly Herndon the next.
Give it a listen. You may not like it but you will certainly find it interesting.
